Herminia Ribet

Born in Barcelona and now a permanent resident of Germany, I have devoted my career entirely to translation since 1990. This is a profession that fascinates me, not only because I am passionate about writing and bridging linguistic gaps, but also because I love learning and acquiring a deeper understanding of new subjects.

After earning my degree in Translation from the School of Translators and Interpreters of the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), I studied at the University of Saarbrücken for two years (including one year in the Erasmus program).

In 1990 I started working for a German multinational company in the automotive industry, where I translated and reviewed press releases and marketing and advertising documentation, and also undertook coordination tasks, such as team and key account managing.

I have been working on a freelance basis since 2004 for clients from multiple sectors: automotive, logistics, packaging, engineering, mining, interior design, gardening, magazines and fashion.

I specialize in the translation of websites, technical content, corporate strategies, and ESG issues, using appropriate language in commercial and political terms.
