Elena Sánchez Vigil

I was born in Madrid, where I studied music and philosophy. My interest in translation arose while studying Latin at the University, and continued to grow while pursuing further studies in Germany. I have been working full-time as a professional translator from German to Spanish since 1991. Over this time, I have specialized in various fields, translating technical documentation, mostly for the automotive industry, marketing texts, websites, corporate communication, as well as press releases, sociology papers and texts from the fields of politics, ecology and art. I have also translated texts for the food services and tourism industries. Language is a tool that I master with confidence, and being a translator allows me to do something I am passionate about: traveling between worlds and cultures.

I am a member of Asetrad (Spanish Association of Translators, Copy-editors, and Interpreters) and BDÜ (German Federal Association of Interpreters and Translators).
